The name Cedarwood is derived form the Semitic word 'Cedar' meaning Spiritual Strength and it represents a symbol of constant faith.

The Ancient Egyptians used Cedarwood in their mummification process and Cedarwood Incense has been used in temples for centuries, resulting in Cedarwood itself gaining a mystical reputation.

The odour of Cedarwood Essential Oil is used to repel insects and in North America Cedarwood was used in the treatment of Bronchitis, Tuberculosis and skin diseases.

Cedarwood is still used today in traditional Tibetan medicine.
